{"id":222,"date":"2022-01-04T18:47:43","date_gmt":"2022-01-04T18:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mipres.org\/?page_id=222"},"modified":"2022-01-04T22:10:08","modified_gmt":"2022-01-04T22:10:08","slug":"stepping-stones-project-research-deliverables","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mipres.org\/index.php\/about\/statewide-regional-stepping-stones-to-the-national-digital-platform-project-2019\/stepping-stones-project-research-deliverables\/","title":{"rendered":"Stepping Stones Project Research &#038; Deliverables"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In 2019, the&nbsp;<em><strong>Statewide &amp; Regional Stepping Stones to the National Digital Platform Project<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;carried&nbsp;out the following research activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Gathered and analyzed statewide data on digital preservation readiness and organizational needs&nbsp;<\/li><li>Hosted a project symposium to discuss findings and plan for project deliverables&nbsp;<\/li><li>Engaged expert consultants from leading national distributed digital preservation networks;<\/li><li>Conducted national-level field research on successful state\/regional networks; and<\/li><li>Carried&nbsp;out workshop intensives to develop the final project deliverables<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The research&#8217;s ultimate goal was to, for the first time, intentionally study, replicate, refine, and codify\u00a0the achievements of the country\u2019s leading state and regional distributed digital preservation networks. The culmination of these findings are encompassed in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/mipres.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/stepping_stones_toolkit_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Stepping Stones Collaboration Toolkit<\/a><\/em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20200922023136\/https:\/\/www.gvsu.edu\/cms4\/asset\/0862059E-9024-5893-1B5AAAC2F83BDDD8\/stepping_stones_toolkit_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0<\/a>&#8211; a resource designed to communicate best practices for state and regional network and community building.
